Beirut in Brazil

So, there's this band called Beirut. They're based in France, the leader in from US and their music has influences from the balkans.

So far, so good.
The amazing thing is that some people in Brazil thought it would be cool if their music was played more, maybe in the streets and they organized this thing that they call Beirutando, in which bands play songs from Beirut outdoors around the country.
And they made a youtube channel for everyone to see:

I don't know. There is something about a less known band based in Europe that makes a connection with Brazil and all that comes from it that I feel is touching. The world is smaller, people are closer and a voice can be heard anywhere if it says something different. And somebody will listen. At least in Brazil.
